Hello Incredible Nurses and Healthcare Providers!

Allow me to share a bit about my story. I have been a registered nurse since 2006! I grew up in a small, conservative town where most people never leave. I became a nurse at a very young age and moved to a bigger city in Ohio. Here I thrived and went on to obtain a Master’s Degree in Nursing and later completed 3 Post-Master’s certifications. I often joke that “I didn’t know what I wanted to be when I grew up” but the truth is, something else was always calling me and I simply refused to listen. Come the pandemic in 2020, I had been a single mom for a number of years. I worked hard and often 2-3 jobs. I missed out on so much time with my kids. At work I always felt like I could be doing more and affecting change in a better way.

In 2021, I was fed up with employers not having the best interests of their providers in mind. I quit!

I started a small telepsychiatry business! I thought I would never be an entrepreneur and it had not previously crossed my mind. I had come across a group on Facebook of other Nurse Practitioners that were doing the same and I KNEW I had found the missing puzzle piece.

Months after starting my first business, I asked my kids if they would like to travel more as they had only traveled a little and within the contiguous 48 states. They emphatically said YES! We sold everything but our car and a few things in storage and went to Mexico. There we found incredible communities, endless activities, and security that the news speaks the exact opposite of. We experienced a FIRE in our hearts like nothing we had ever experienced. Since that summer of 2021 I’ve opened not 1 but 4 more businesses. You read that right! I have traveled the world with my two children, found a new love (other than just travel), and created multiple businesses. From the summer of 2022 until December of 2023 I even created a mental health practice that had SEVEN providers! I sold that one on January 1st of this year 2024.

Egypt, Colombia, Spain, Portugal, Mexico…and Asia this year. Nurse Practitioners CAN BE entrepreneurs and they DO cross borders!
